Nice one DC, I have added it to the list above & to the first page, I shall get to work on a Mark & Lard show tonight :)

EDIT: I have also divided the Mark & Lard shows up into their respective years to make it easier to navigate them also :)

HOW DO YOU LIKE BASS?
Erm, not very much, read on....

DC, there's a slight problem with the show sadly, I am editing it currently & sadly it's very base heavy. Back between 2001-2004 I thought it was a great idea to turn the Bass & Treble up to the max (+6 on my old JVC Hi-Fi) and sadly the Bass has picked up a lot on the Cornershop bed that Mark & Lard use :(

Unless anyone knows a way of reducing bass on an audio recording (Audacity is * useless for this it keeps want to ADD bass 8O) it will sound like you're listening to it in a back of a Vauxhall Nova with one of those big bass tubes in the back of the boot.

Apologies in advance, I'm hoping that when I save this & upload it to my iPod it won't be so bass heavy (it could be just my crap, 12 year old speakers on my PC that is "over bassing")

EDIT: Both the Chris Moyles show (edited) and Mark & Lard show (unedited) are on my ipod, and, well sadly the bass is ever present :(

Damn my 18 year old self for liking Bass :x

The Mark & Lard show is now edited, however it's getting a bit late so unfortunately I won't be uploading it tonight.

It will however appear on here sometime tomorrow, whether that be early morning or tomorrow evening/night :)

Apologies for the delay :)

****IMPORTANT INFO****

The following show sadly has some sound issues, not only is it over bassed but the callers on the line all seem very faint (that's either Radio 1 or the over bassing has cancelled out the sound channel somewhat). Either I hope the sound issues don't impare your enjoyment, too much.

Anyway here is a Mark & Lard show from Tuesday 23rd October 2001, there is a Chris Moyles show in the archive that follows on staright after this one, in the archive (see above) :D

Great stuff :D I look forward to them.

On the Moyles front, at present I'm copying over quite a few in a big bulk, before I edit them, so that I've got quite a few to work on, I think there's nearly 20 (half shows or full shows) now that I need to edit 8O
#397857
More apologies again (you must be getting bored of these apologies now) for a lack of updates, but, I've been getting into the copying quite a bit of late so I have put editing on hold for a very short while until I copy over enough stuff for a huge update.

Shows to be edited (FH=first half only, I didn't record the second half unfortunately):

Friday 28th January 2000
Wednesday 17th January 2001
Thursday 22nd February 2001
Friday 2nd March 2001 (FH)
Friday 9th March 2001 (FH)
Wednesday 14th March 2001 (FH)
Wednesday 21st March 2001 (FH)
Friday 23rd March 2001 (Special guest Shaggy)
Saturday 14th April 2001 (FH)
Friday 27th April 2001 (FH)
Friday 11th May 2001 (FH)
Friday 22nd June 2001 (FH)
Wednesday 27th June 2001
Friday 7th September 2001
Friday 5th October 2001
Friday 15th March 2002 (Special guest Jon Culshaw, he had left the show by this point)

A few have the odd sound issue but once I've taped a few more I shall work on editing them, I hope to have all these above (and a few more) before I go away in November

EDIT: Those in bold have since been copied over to my PC, since this list was made

What an amazing thread!!

Well done to all involved!

Ive got a couple of requests although they may have been mentioned already (ive not read all 20 pages yet)

Is it possible for the Roy Walker Doctor who joke off of carpark catchphrase to be uploaded anywhere?
Yeah i know its on youtube but its not the full show?

Also remember a couple of years ago on carpark catchphrase when chris was arguing with a woman who was a party planner/dinner organiser something like that, that was very very funny (i think, ive slept a bit since then)

Do you have the show of the hear'say parody?

Thanks in advance and keep the great work up!

Thanks :)

As for your request, erm, I'm not entirely sure if I have the "Doctor Who" joke or that resturant bit on any of them, I haven't really hit my Breakfast Show archive yet, although someone on here may have them.

The Hear'Say parody is on a few of the 2001 shows I have, which I'm yet to upload, however the Friday 16th March 2001 Comic Relief Special show has the song on it, somewhere so that is available on that show at least.

I hope to have several more up soon, I have 15-20 more to edit so expect to see them in the near future. :)

ANNOUNCEMENT!

I'm really sorry to you all, I won't be able to bring any of those shows to you before I go away to Hong Kong, rather frustratingly.

As you may have seen in the "what's annoying you" thread in ramble, my PC blew up a few weeks ago, the fault was diagnosed as being with the motherboard, and unfortunately I cannot afford to repair the bastard until after I return from Hong Kong on the 30th November 2009 8O :x

I'm so sorry everyone, I'm rather annoyed myself as I wanted to edit those shows (posted above) so that I could share them with you all and listen to them, with all the music edited out, in Hong Kong. Unfortunately that won't be the case now & although my brother is going to get his old PC out so that I can continue to get the latest shows, he doesn't want me to download the audacity software on to his computer as he doesn't want it clogged up with (and I quote) "crappy old Moyles shows" (he's a fan of the afternoon shows but doesn't want his harddrive clogged up with them).

So apologies all, I really wanted to get these out to you before I went away but the wonderful "modern" technology in my PC has had it, and I just can't afford to repair it this side of Hong Kong.

However if anyone has any other shows to share on here & if anyone else would like to edit any of those shows edited by other forum members, then please feel free to do so. If anyone wants those added to this list here in the vault, just let me know & I shall add it in due course.

Apologies again

Thanks :)

I may be able to get a few up before Hong Kong but, I can't promise anything, yet. I'm trying to talk my brother into it, I'm goign to try & get several of them burned to a memory stick/DVD & hopefully, if I can get him to change his mind (it's his PC after all), then I may be able to get 3-5 of them up before Hong Kong.

As I say I can't promise anything, but I'll keep you posted :)

Hey, really this is a great place ... so was it that you recorded these Mark & Lard shows yourself back in the day? Or have you obtained them from the archives of the beeb? I was in my car today listening to them, forgotten how much these pair used to make me laugh! Not had chance to listen to the Moyles shows as of yet, but plenty of time! I don't know how many shows you have in total, but regarding the clips I have - they are from the DVD that was created entitled "MCC" which I would be sure you know about. :)
