Thought I'd point out a couple of things regarding the Mark & Lard side of the archive.

Firstly it seems as if the only proper breakfast show in the archive is no longer available for download, I was just wondering if anyone had it at all please?

Secondly a bit of bad news unfortunately due to American Authorities Megaupload was closed down earlier this year so their entire archive was wiped! I think however I may have several shows on my old laptop, which I never got round to editing so when I get my new laptop and my Hard Drive dock I may be able to salvage them.

Thirdly I have many Radcliffe and Maconie shows from their first day on BBC Radio 6 Music, up until 2-3 months ago and I believe their last 3-6 months on Radio 2, I just wanted to know if anyone was interested in these shows at all, I know both Ian & Nicola have said they're interested in editing them however I don't want to send them to them if nobody is interested so please let me know if you are and once I have my new laptop I'll get on getting these distributed for editing

ETA: just tried a couple of links and they are on IA. So what was on megaupload?...

Apologies I was a bit unclear, the stuff I mean was the Graveyard Slot shows of which several I edited and uploaded, the original blog/website that had them all lost their entire archive, however I manged to download quite a few but have yet to edit them :)

One show is missing tho, their only Radio 1 breakfast show in our archive, it was hosted on another site however the file has been removed for copyright reasons. Do you or anyone here have that show at all please as I never downloaded it for some reason

What was the date of the M&L Radio 1 show? I have four M&L R1 mp2 files, which are 1st Mar 04 to 4th Mar 04. And then I have a load of mp3's, downloaded from the archive. I also noticed that on the M&L archive discussion thread archive list, there are three missing - 19970730.mp3, 20040322.mp3, 20040323.mp3 - but I don't know if that's the official archive thread, or the discussion thread, or both.

There's two threads, my original one which is the discussion one (which to be fair has dropped down due to my lack of editing/updates) and the actual archive in the Full Shows section, the 19970730 one is definately missing/wiped from it's original link, so a reuploading of that would be great, the other two are also missing, theres also another show 2003-08-22 which I found on Internet Archive, however unfortunately due to limitations of this sodding "smart" phone I can't link it here, however might be a new one to add to the archive

Just found the link to the 2003-08-22 show:

Also loads more from their final month:

Do we want to credit and add these to our archive too?

(copied this post also into the M&L discussion thread to)

Ok I'll upload those these then:

19970730.mp3
20040322.mp3
20040323.mp3

I'll post the links to those new IA shows too if you want. I think we might as well.

I can't control he thread at the moment though, too busy. At least while I have Moyles shows still to edit.

Sounds ok to me, as long as there's a history. I don't trust non-morons :) Although I worry that we might have to keep going back to old versions, which could be more work than the current method.

I can restrict Wiki editing to certain usergroups, it might be sensible.

Edit: I just did. Everyone who expressed an interest in helping can edit it. Everyone else is free to request membership of the Wiki group which will give them edit permissions.

Can I request access? Also I may have missed something but I can't seem to see a link to the wiki, apologies if I'm being an idiot!

You can do it yourself via the User Control Panel.
But I've done it for you. When you join the new group you'll get granted access to a new forum and you'll see the link.

So this is a little bit off topic but: anyone know anything about burning transport stream files onto DVD? I'm following these instructions:

http://arzur.net/2010/05/07/burning-mpeg2-ts-to-a-dvd

But I can't find anywhere to download mjpeg tools for Windows XP. Do I really need them? I can't even figure out what that part of the process does. I've never done this before!

I'm thinking James or Jamie might know. I can't do anything with it til Sunday now anyway as I'm going to my parents' tomorrow, so plenty of time to figure it out.

Might be worth Googling around for programs that convert TS to DVD (i.e. VOB). HDTV2DVD might work:

http://svcd2dvd.com/HDTV2DVD/default.aspx

Any Video Converter can convert pretty much anything to anything, and I think it might be able to convert TS to DVD Video-compliant MPEG, although I don't know if it can do VOB. Still worth having generally though if you need to convert video files.

I'm sure Neil would know more about this stuff.
