Might be worth Googling around for programs that convert TS to DVD (i.e. VOB). HDTV2DVD might work:

http://svcd2dvd.com/HDTV2DVD/default.aspx

Any Video Converter can convert pretty much anything to anything, and I think it might be able to convert TS to DVD Video-compliant MPEG, although I don't know if it can do VOB. Still worth having generally though if you need to convert video files.

I'm sure Neil would know more about this stuff.

It's not really a conversion, and the source is not HD. It's more of a remux, but I haven't remuxed SD video in years as my Popcorn Hours just play as-is. I imagine the Motion-JPG lib is for recoding a few frames around edits, but that shouldn't be needed here.

I do remuxing only of HD in the Ought-Tens.

Thinking about it, http://www.videoredo.com/ is the best/easiest app for this, I'd try installing the trial and see if you can do everything you need to do within the trial period/limitations.

I'll have a look at that on Sun. I already did the remuxing using Project X, I've just fallen at the next hurdle. I am determined to get those god damned red button streams onto DVD if it kills me!

So do I need to get myself registered for editing the archive thread then, so I can update the list myself when I've uploaded new shows? As Dave (and Stewie from Family Guy) once said, "I don't like change"

Yeah I've been going through my USB sticks, I have between 50-80 shows to hand, so I should be able to distribute them once I work out how many there are and how big a memory stick is needed for.them.

I know you're interested Ian, are you still Nicola and is anyone else interested? If not I can still send them to you Ian, I just need to work out how big a memory stick(s) are needed, the shows are.spread over several sticks.

Also I'm going to help you out by labelling them all up properlly before distribution

Ok excellent I've just remember actually that I have loads on my 1TB Hard drive of R&M, when I'm in work Friday (usually a quiet day) I'll check to see what I have

ianpwilliams wrote:I should probably finish Moyles 2007 first really. And it might be easier for you if you burned lots of them to data DVD's, rather than sending out memory sticks and then having to have them sent back?

Problem I have at the mo is my PC hates my DVD writer, after about 2-3 minutes it decides not to read it anymore and then buggers up a single write disk.

With USB sticks I don't mind sending some out or you can send them to me for me to return them, whatever's best for you both.

If you both would rather them on DVD-Rs I can do that but that won't be until November (I have decided to save up an extra month before buying my new laptop), whatever suits you both, either way I shall one day this week total up how many shows and GB are needed an will let you both know how many there are to edit

Also I'm not sure whether or not to put them in the M&L one or create a seperate thread for them, when the time comes?

...and relax. Much better being caught up to a show that was already in the archive. Looked weird seeing in my downloads that at one point I had shows from January to September and then the next folder was November 2007 and it had one show in it. But that's OCD for you

Out of interest I did a bit of digging around for Mark & Lard and found this lot:

http://www.filestube.com/m/mark+and+lard

Now there might be some there we already have but again there may not, unfortunately again due to lack of laptop I can't really extract these at all unfortunately, so I don't know if anyone else wants to try, there might be some goodies there

When I did a bit of reorganizing of the archive before Ben took over, I renamed the M&L thread 'M&L and other shows', and the Adam & Joe shows we have are in there too. So we'll be fine to put the Radcliffe & Maconie shows in there.

One day last week I finished work at 4pm, the same time Radcliffe & Maconie finish their 6Music show, and when I got to the tram stop Stuart Maconie was there too waiting for the same tram as me. I was very excited :)

Interesting, I only ever taped one show from October 2000 (Mon 20th), do you have a show we may never have heard perhaps

Cool, I've seen several celebs over the years in London but unfortunately never a DJ like Moyles and yep no probs Radcliffe & Maconie can go in the same archive, I'll have to shift the other posts down a post or two as it'd.only be right for R&M to follow M&L

BTW did anyone try that link to see if there were any M&L shows in there we didn't have at all please?

Apologies I've been utterly dense then, you mean M&L well in that case yes please, as much as I' love more afternoon Moyles, M&L finds are even better IMO due to the lack of stuff out there compared to Moyles.

I know of one other show I had which I can't remember where I got it from or the date but it was the first 35-45 mins of a show, sound quality was poor but it still had some very funny moments, when I get things sorted my end I'll get round to editing this one too along with the shows from Cassette Archive I never edited which sadly got lost whem megaupload was shut down.

Haha. Don't worry about it! It's my fault really as I should of quoted you. But anyway, I've uploaded the show and it's here: viewtopic.php?f=29&t=24692&p=481400#p481400 :)

Yeah I don't know where these single shows come from. Or why Jamie didn't have it. Otherwise I would have edited it anyway for continuity. Still, not long to go and 2007 will be done :)

Finally got the red button streams onto dvd! Hurray. Now I'm racing to get all the marathon show vids on to dvds before the trial of the program Neil recommended to me expires.

That's a LOT of DVDs worth there!

Updated finally :) Sorry it took a while...

Maybe the last update as I believe its in the process of being moved to wiki? Ian, Slaphead, Neil, have you all joined the subforum so the shows can be added straight to the wiki archive from now? I will try getting back into finishing 2006 at some point soon as well. Life is just a little hectic at the minute.
