Would anyone happen to know of the name - or happen to have the jingle that Chris uses when he reads out a sad story? I'm sure it used to be from another radio 1 DJs sad love stories from years ago...

Wooo... that sounds like it, but are there different versions? Not the one he uses as a background jingle anyway, but cheers!

I'm sure it's the theme from Franco Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet. Simon Bates used to use it on Our Tune. I think it was recorded for him by Vince Clarke (the quiet one in Erasure).
