You could always 'Listen Again', the links are available in the following 'Announcement' thread: -

Sound Requests, Clip Submission & Listen Again Links

Please note that you should really get permission from the BBC to do that, and you would have to edit out all of the music.

Yeah, that's one of the main problems.

It could be pretty costly in terms of bandwidth, but I would certainly be interested.

Net Transport is good but it takes along time to download a show then on top of that about another 30 mins to convert it to mp3.

Bandwidth isnt really a problem for me, I have a few unmeatered 10/100mbit server hanging around.

Just as Console mentioned, the time taken to edit the music out of the show would eb atleast a good 30 mins / 1 hour every day.

I wish the Listen Again feature would utilise another media player aside from sodding Realplayer, which is possibly the poorest player to grace the computing world. Now that I've got Vista installed, I don't really want to install RP.

There are other players that can handle real media streams, like MPlayer, VLC, Media Player Classic (also available as part of the K-Lite Codec Pack) and Amarok.

Is there anyway to download the show then?

Listen again only works if your connected to the net, and was hoping to download it to my iPod as I drive a long way to work!

It would be great if BBC made their shows on demand for cable users or at least give a possibility to record the show as i hate to listen again because of the quality...!

I doubt the 'demand' would be high enough for 'On Demand' radio shows, besides it adds a whole legal minefield with music that probably wouldn't make it very easy. Also, there is the 'possibility' or recording the shows, I (and many others) do it every day.

try installing real player alternative, which lets you play real media files in you prefered player. Google it to find it

Net Transport 2 is alot quicker at downloading the show, and what converter are you using that takes 30 mins? Mine usually take about 10, if that when i do them.

What he means is you would download the Listen Again stream and convert it to an MP3 to pop onto your iPod.

Doesn't listen again only last for the last week? So Chris' birthday which was 2 weeks ago yesterday won't be on the listen again.

I tried to download the Listen Again Stream but it kept telling me there was a HTTP Error and I concluded I couldn't download it at work :(

There shouldn't have been an HTTP error as the LA stream doesn't run on HTTP. What did you try downloading it with?

You need to go back and read the threads that have been previously created about this, they will provide you with what software you will need to download them and where you can get it.
