also, i'd say They Think It's All Over is almost as good as Have I Got News For You, maybe equal.

I have to strongly disagree with you there. They Think... is a pile of steaming doggy-crap, whereas Have I... is an extreamly funny satirical program. I can't stand sports, I can't stand David Beckham jokes. So I watch Have I Got News For You instead.
the_dr

yep. t.t.i.a.o is a bit crap to be frank. it's so predictable. gary linaker with his scripted jokes and the crappy way they make jokes when asked a question and then "magically" get the answer right in an untactfull way, muttering it under their breath. jonathon ross is very funny on it though.

" What's a farmer doing with a fox? It's his mortal enemy. He should drown it."
"The farmer's gay. Well he shouldn't be let near any animals".
There has to be a second series of this program as it is just pure class.

mrs_moyles: I remember that. It was called 'My Family' but i haven't heard of a new series of it.

Spaced was class but I always missed it. The bird from it was in the Royle Family and the bloke, Simon Pegg, was in the Brass Eye Special as the nutorious 'Paedo in stocks'. He kept his head down though - possibly for fear of repurcussions?
the_dr

Spaced was a very good show. I liked the way they paid homage to various shows, and in jokes they had. I remember seeing Simon Pegg a couple of years ago when I went to see Steve Coogan Live. Between set changes Simon Pegg would keep the crowd entertained. He was quite good then from what I remember.
Also Jessica Stevenson was in one of the early People Like Us episodes, the Estate Agents one.

If it's on BBC1 and it's a 'comedy', then by definition it is shite.
-My Family
-One Foot In The Grave
-Keeping Up Appearences
And god knows how many other middle-class, ever-so-slightly boring 'family' sitcoms. These aren't comedies, they shouldn't even be classed as such. Open your eyes and your mind and CHANGE THE CHANNEL. The best TV channel you are ever likely to see is just a number 4 button-pressing away. CH4 is the most inovative, intellelgent and ground breaking channel - unlike BBC1 & ITV which is pre-packaged, processed, brain-numbingly banal, populist, dumbed down television for the masses.
Or, if intellegent news programmes and documentaries, challenging satires and ground-breaking comedies don't float your boat then why not turn on the radio and listen to some new music on R1's Giles Peterson, Breezeblock, etc.
the_dr

I like Jennifer & Saunders but I'm not too keen on Vicar Of Dibley. The Cops was excellent and Duck Patrol was on BBC1. Need I say more.
the_dr
