Then if it looks like crap only go out at night time, and as it gets dark so early, you still have a lot of time before bed!

before i started bleaching my hair before dying it (to get brighter colours) i would just put semi-permanent dye over my brown hair. it was a subtle touch, and the darker colours made my hair seem plack with a colour sheen. when i did navy blue, my hair turned blue black like comic book heroes. colouring around a holiday is always safe. again, as i said, just go for it. your hair will grow out.
