If you really want to know:

- Look at the source code of the BBC Radio Player for the show you want
- Find a reference to a file ending in .rpm
- Download this file
- Open it in Note Pad
- Look for the file name ending in .ra

This is the sound requests forum so your other post was actually in the right place.

To find the link, In the listen again box on the R1 site view the source and find the link to the embedded show as a .rpm file. Save that file, rename it to a .txt open it and the link should be there.

Why would you want to know this anyway if you already know the link?

its a fluke how i got that one hence i dont actually know any other way to do it

the reason i'm asking is because how unreliable asking for clips of the show are on here

hence why i want each show just incase i would want clips so i dont ask here and get dissapointed (again)

Yes I read your post correctly, And by fluke you got the link. So you wouldn't have to go through the normal way of getting the link.

I don't think it's only internet geeks that can work out 'wed' stands for 'Wednesday' and are able to work out the first three letters of other week days...

and it still links to those show's which are months old now

so there must be something else that needs changing

try converting that one^ later in the week and see if it doesnt start with nemone and moyles handover opening link

It's been discussed before. Either try a few times in a row or delete your cache files. You just have to look for the answer.

To start with the link you posted doesn't link to the show with the Nemone handover anyway. The shows are only available for seven days after been broadcast so no links go shows older than that.

Look at Wednesdays link. Exactly the same as the link you posted. They both link to the same show (last Wednesdays) Nothing else needs changing so you are wrong.

I think you'll find the clips are reliable, it's your connection or PC that isn't.

i asked for a certain show on the sound request part of the forum and had no luck,
so i've decided not to ask, but record the show's myself and get any clips i want from my sky digital recording, failing that listen again

i wasnt talking about clips on the site

They are realiable, it's just you ask for clips that are over a month ago. The sound recorders keep shows for a month before deleting them. They can't keep all the shows now can they?

well i would keep them if they were really good shows
i have shows from may-december last year which i havent listened all the way through yet

but thats just me its only taking up 6 and 8 hour tapes it doesnt hurt to keep them it, doesnt matter the quality of the shows because i've recorded them off skyanyway

plus the 1 clip i really wanted, i'm downloading now anyway, but to avoid dissapointment in the future i'm gonna start recording show's off sky again just incase something funny happens, plus people will get pissed off if i keep on requesting stuff all the time

If you want all the funny stuff from the show then why not just do what I do and record them on cassette, then put all the good stuff onto a different one.

Having said that, home taping is killing music...

So is it VCR tapes you use, then? It must be a bit expensive using a tape every two / three days?

yeah i stopped doing for a while (thats why had to request some clips) because i couldnt be bothered to buy anymore,
so i only tape a few shows a week now, if i can help it, i already have over 50, 6 and 8 hour tapes to go through
