This reminds me of that other internet scam - web site that had people going for ages - a bloke who had people after him and he kept posting to this web site whenever he 'got the chance' in internet cafes and stuff.. It was all a big countdown to a particular date I think. Turned out to be an elaborate publicity stunt for a book.
