There is. To be honest, I don't think this is flu though. I've had flu before and you cannot leave your bed without suffering severe aches and pains.

I've never had flu.. I think I'm with Topher, I've never seen anyone not get out of bed with a cold, making a flu.. Maybe it's me.

The only time I'm unwell is due to alcohol...which is very much self inflicted.

Tell that to the turks!

(although you are probably referring to 'common' Influenza, and not bird flu)

Man flu is a lot of piiiiiissshhhh.

Boys just like to moan. How come 'man flu' doesn't stop most men from going to the pub or the football.

I think most guys need a good kick up the ass.

I have to say that when I have a cold, I rarely moan and I always go to work... I think a lot of other blokes are like that too - the whole man flu thing is a myth, I don't know many people like it (although there are a couple).

You must be the exception that proves the rule. There are 3 men off in my office at the moment due to man flu. I was in a car accident on Sunday (I was a passanger) and have a sore neck but yet I'm in and have been stuck with some of their work!

I think the misconception is that men are worse than women at this. Everywhere I've worked the general balance of sick days between men and women has been pretty even.

In my experience men are far more likely to take duvet days especially when the boss is on holiday.

I used to pride myself on that too, but once you've had one day off you start taking days off for smaller things because you don't have the record to maintain.
