That long cupboardy thing my friend, is called the 'Trough'
Back when it was a barn 4 million years ago, there was indeed an old wooden feeding trough. They weren't allowed to take it out due to its historical value, so They've built it into that box. Its really nicely done, as in the lid is hinged and the trough is boxed out inside so you have loads of storage space. The other side of the kitchen, by the fridge, they've left it open inside the box so you actually see it.
I'll take some more pics over the weekend of it, including my DVD shelf I've had built into the middle one.
Looks pretty smart!

Oh, and the guitar stand it actually 2, a double and a single.
I have no idea where I'm gonna put my Bass when I get it back...
