Of course, a BLT is great. I dont think that the L or the T would go towards your five a day mind you.

With mayo, obvioulsy.

Yudster wrote:Bean sprouts, not Brussels Sprouts you fool............

To be fair, I assumed she meant brussel sprouts as well. That sounded odd to me but like someone else said, she is an americana so its to be expected i suppose.

I like margarine on my sandwiches.

That's nice! I like bacon and/or sandwiches, as the bacon melts the margarine. Also, when you do toast, you have to butter/marge it straight away after it's come out the grill so you get the melted effect.

I've lived there for quite a while anyway.

I know the way out, but I like it too much.

Because she's vegan? I don't think butter is bad for you - ok its got a lot of saturated fat, but its not like most people eat pounds and pounds of it, and it has a lot of vitamins and minerals that manufactured spreads and margerines don't have. And margerines and spreads have just as much fat, and a lot of harmful additives. I'd rather eat something made from natural ingredients. Problem - I actually don't like butter....so I go without.

butter on a sandwich is just weird to me. last night we had "tofurky" sandwiches for dinner. they had: mayo, mustard, tomatoes, alfalfa sprouts, mushrooms, red onions, pickles, lettuce, avocado, and "tofurky". that's a proper sandwich.

Ooh ooh tofurkey! I could get that for a while over here and then the health food shop stopped getting it in. It was way better than the Redwood Foods stuff I get here, which is okay, but a tad plasticky.

I like margarine on sandwiches, but I try and use relish or pickle or something else moist that has no fat and eliminates the need for it. But soy bacon sandwiches MUST have margarine to me - I don't put anything else on those.
