A lot of concern has been raised recently over the alleged dumbing down of Radio 1 with the hiring of such people as Keely Osboure and Dick and Dom. However I can now say that this is not the case.

As I was playing around with my radio last night trying to get better reception I caught a litle of the sunday surgery with Ms Osbourne and as it's clsoe to halloween they were discussing the occult and I think they handled it very well indeed.

Why when one guy rang in to ask a question about Ouija boards the "expert" she had in the studio with her gave his opinion on ouija boards and then said the not enough is understanded [sic] about them for scientists to make a proper judgement.

Dumbing down? Surely not!

I have to confess I wasn't previously aware of that fact and now feel that my life is more complete for knowing it. Your insight has given me a new zest for life which I was previosuly lacking and a newfound appreciation for all things accountancy and financially based in the world of Radio1.

You have my thanks sir.

Yes it is true, as is the fact that Dom is from near Exeter in Devon and has been thrown out of the Magic Circle.

Apparently Sponge Bob Square Pants would not pose with Dom, and I placard saying I Love Dick on it, really not sure why.

Gregg James is quite tall also.

Kelly Osbourne is Ozzie Osbournes Daughter off of Blind Jaguar or some such band.

My wife was told she can't quote from Wikipedia on her course as it is not a proper source of information I thought that was rough, and elitist.

Anyway, more made up facts same time tomorrow

I have absolutely no idea what the heck you're going on about.

Also wouldn't Dark Saturday have been a better name for a band? He wasn't in Blind Jaguar or Mute Tiger or even Anosmic Cougar.

My point was aimed at the grammatical linguistic inadequacies of their supposed expert and his woeful approach to handling what could have been a simple situation.

I want to know why Dom or Dick has been thrown out of the Magic Circle. And surely it's reasonable to not allow Wikipedia as a data resource, because the entries can be edited and therefore their accuracy cannot be guaranteed? More sensible than elitist. And I don't understand much of what boboff says either, but I still love him.

More exceptional advice from Viv. Couldn't agree more.

We used to do ouija boards at school during lunchtime. I always used to find it funny when at first, you asked if anybody was there. If the thing moved and then declared itself to be evil, it could be quite unnerving for a teenager. Even though i'm an atheist, i still wouldn't be at all happy with my own daughter doing that at school.

My point was that the expert said "...not enough it understanded about them..."

Understanded? Expert? Obviously not in the English language.
