Has anyone else been swept up in the hype for Spore? Its a new game for the PC to be released in September.
Its by the same guy who came up with 'The Sims', and it's basically an 'evolution simulator'. You start off as a Cell, build up to a land dwelling creature fighting for survival, from there you start an intelligent civilization and take over your planet and in the final part of the game you get to build a spaceship and tour the universe visiting other players planets too and 'abducting' other creatures.

I've been following this for a little while now, and I'm quite interested in it, especially the 'Creature creator' part (you get to completely design your race from scratch using a creature editor). I downloaded a free trial version of the editor last night and played about with it and even thats quite addictive (You can download the trial from the above link). If I've inspired anyone to download it and have a go, post them up. I'm gonna have a go this afternoon and I'll stick up anything I like.

(If you do download the trial, If you have trouble starting it up try uninstalling EA Download Manager. Worked for me!
