Sara Cox is due to return to Radio 1 and will cover for Edith Bowman from September 1st in the afternoons. She'll take over from Vernon and Fearne.

One would assume she'll remain there until Jo Whiley departs in October, leaving Annie to continue her weekend show.

I quite liked Vernon being on in the afternoons. I'm not so fussed about Fearne. And the return of Coxy fills me with dread.

Did find myself enjoying Greg James this evening though, which was a nice surprise.

Excessive saliva problem! Well, that's a unique description of her voice! I can't agree. I find her voice to be very soothing/welcoming.

It was Captain Darling, but the line is 'I knew a major' (or something similar).
