I guess if you spend thousands on a video, you want to get as much money back on it as you can, it is highly illegal to have them on there in the first place if they aren't paying PRS.

It's good for people like me, it's free promotion, but if i was being honest, being paid everytime it was played would be a bonus

Many music labels have their own channels on You Tube e.g: Universal Music Island Records Sony BMG

Yeah, but they have given permission, they own the copyrights, so can do what they want. Loads of people are accepting these things and using it to their advantage, whereas some just wont.

I dare say there are many with my views, that it IS a good thing to have, because it is free to upload, but as i say, i wouldnt say no to a bit of cash coming my way

The only problem is, is that certain songs were deleted ages ago, aren't available on iTunes so this is the only way to listen to them.

Fair enough, take of music that is readily available but not the stuff that is extremely hard to get hold of.

Yep totally agree, maybe a You Tube Gold channel would be a class idea!

Good idea, the music I was talking about in particular was dance music from the early 90's & 2000/2001, which unfortunately as we know rarer dance music gets deleted if it doesn't chart that high (and oddly enough the better dance music is the stuff that gets deleted)
