My brother has been in Macbeth numerous times and a number of theatres and always gets into trouble with the other "luvvies" for his resolute lack of superstition as refuses to pretend this ridiculous tradition means something. Its so silly. Intelligent grown ups taking such nonsense seriously - and they do, they really do!

None of us take it really seriously, but it's just a tradition really to not say the name of the play. I maintain that as long as you're not actually in the auditorium then you're fine, saying it whilst in the office shouldn't be an issue.
