By that logic, nothing should be worried about except our physical well being and the well being of others.
Maslow's hierarchy of needs dictates that as individuals once we have fulfilled a base need, we then look to fulfil the next highest need (the higher up the pyramid you go, the fewer people there are).
If the pyramid is applied to a social construct (the society being the forum community) then presumably we've all got internet access and free time to spend online. This would say that we're fairly high up the pyramid, meaning that issues that may seem trivial on a global scale suddenly have a lot more meaning to the individual.
Spelling and grammar standards are important to some people, as the dilution of it (including slang and text speak) could be seen as some to be an acceptance of slipping standards of intellect.
However, LongView01's mistake wasn't the worst of SPAG sins I've seen on here.
I wish my communications degree had a better application than this.
