Evening thing would be good more acceptable for drinks! Afternoon would do well too - a dinner and drinks? I know a few places in London with good food and good offers (toptable is a saviour), a spoons is always an option too if we're looking for cheap? Everywhere in Zone 1 is accessible from the main stations in london

Personally I am up for an evening meet, but if getting enough people together means that we meet earlier that would be fine too. I wouldnt like anything much before 2pm though.

I can get to central london easily enough, but I couldnt give any suggestions of where to meet. I am happy to go with chrysostom's suggestions.

Maybe meeting in the early afternoon allows a bit of leeway for people who want to, or can, stay longer? Meet early afternoon and everyone's a winner..

We may all despise each other and knock it on the head after half an hour!

Why?

I would suggest a Summer thing, picnic at 2 at some park, football, frisby, jolly japes, with drinks at 7 and dinner at 8.30 for those staying in town....

Me ? Why would I spend £150 to meet a bunch of low life forum Sados? Plus there will be like 20 drunk blokes all trying to get into Nic's KNics.....

Haha, that's always a possibility :)

In terms of the time: doing morning means people will have to either travel the day before and stay over or travel quite early, and I don't fancy getting on a train at 7am. Afternoon and evening give more options in terms of travelling that morning and checking into their accommodation first, if they're staying over. That gives it the definite advantage as far as I can see.

London (exact area not known yet) for transport reasons. Date is probably still flexible though to accommodate the most amount of people

What about the following weekend, the 24th March? How would that work for people?

Crap. 31st? I definitely can't do the 7th of April and I don't think I can do the 14th either.

Yeah, my mention of the 17th being no good for me wasn't a request to change plans. 17th had seemed to stick, so fly with it. There are more finite points need agreeing without going back to the 'pick a date' stage.

Ben has hit nail on head, no date will suit EVERYONE...

Meh.... I'll live. Woulda been nice, but no reason why anyone else should revolve around me.

Who knows, carry on planning, if I can join you, I will, but no promises.

Anyway, chrysostom and RB have already met me, they can fill you all in on what an anchor I am. K?

True dat, and Shamrock.

Guestimate based on feedback in this thread... nothing more scientific than that.
