To solve what?

The contributions of my family members, secondary family members, peer group, secondary peer group and work colleagues could differ wildly to yours. Especially as I've never done a 'sponsored' charity thing before.

You are more likely to get a good response if it is your first piece of fundraising. People who do a sponsored "something" every year would struggle if they were relying on friends and relatives for donations.

Depends. When did you last walk 10 miles? If you do it regularly and find it easy, then no, that's not unfair at all.

What difference does the county you're from make?

People from Yorkshire like to think they are different from everyone else. In my experience they just tend to be grumpier than most.

I know - but I want him to justify the relevance of Yorkshire to that statement.

Me too.

To me it just seems a silly thing to do. It's being done again this year. Free Radio organise it. It's called the walk for Worcestershire or something and they have like a proper finish line and everything and try to big up all the atmosphere there.

You're*

*you're

Asterisk goes before the correction, and within context it wouldn't be capitalised.

I refused to sponsor my dad's attempt to raise money for musical instruments for his school. I don't know or care what he did for it, he works for a fee paying school - they can buy their own * instruments.

I'm not arsed about what people do to raise money, it's the cause that matters. I'd sooner sponsor someone doing a sponsored fart for a cancer charity or something, than I would someone doing a sponsored 100 mile sprint for cats with bruised paws.

My part of Yorkshire consists mostly of rather large hills and off road walking through rivers and shit. Ten miles for me is probably a lot more difficult than someone who's trudging around some roads/pavements. Also, public transport is shite where we are and taxis cost a fortune, we cant all just hop on a tube tram thing so we end up walking. Look at last of the summer wine. I live around there. Maybe if you all stopped * having a go at every little thing I (or indeed anyone else) say, the threads on this forum would run a lot smoother. twats.
