United were well on top - for 20 minutes. After that they were very lucky to hold on to a point. Rubbish referee notwithstanding, Chelsea were better. Bum, I can't stand Chelsea!

And surprise surprise - I predicted on Saturday afternoon that Geraint Williams would be out the door. Quite how changing the manager is going to put right the problem - which is that we sold all our good players two years ago and only replaced them with mediocre ones - I really don't know.

I wince every time Chris Iwelumo scores. Which is quite often. Gah.

At least we got the points at Tranmere - still managed to concede twice late in the game though. What's wrong with us?!

You're not any good?

In other news, Mike Riley continued his fine refereeing from last week with that sending off, someone sneezes on Ronaldo and United get a penalty and, weirdly, Kidderminster are in the lofty position of second in the conference.

Ah, we're playing the "obvious" card now are we?!

Apparently though we were the first club in this country to win a competition on penalties. We beat West Brom in the Watney Cup in 1971. I remember us winning the Watney Cup, but I don't remember it being on penalties.

See Pompey have the one thing that is more important than all the great signings on earth.....we have luck!

I think you've had more bad than good so far this season though.

And yet again we lose at home. I am getting so fed up with this.

In our first. Few games though we played multi billion pound clubs. Our is only a multi million pound club though. And we're fighting on 2 fronts. We have Europe to worry about as well. Have to see how we get on tomorrow I guess.

Coventry actually won this weekend. I'm impressed.

Spurs then, when does that officially become a crisis? If they don't beat Stoke next game (whenever that is, pesky international weekend coming up)?

I wonder if Gus Poyet and One Day Ramos actually speak to each other? I wonder which of them will get the boot - or both?

I imagine it won't be cheap to get rid of Ramos, he's less than a year into his contract isn't he? Wonder if the Spurs hierarchy have taken a look at the bundesliga recently. The manager of Hamburg's doing well for himself isn't he? :D

Little known fact - Celtic are responsible for the introduction of penalties. It comes from a European tie between Celtic and Benfica. Both teams won their home leg 3-0 and even after extra time they could not be separated. After two coin tosses (one to decide the actual toss plus the actual toss) Celtic won the tie. They then appealed the decision as unfair, despite winning it! This lead to the football authorities finding another way to decide ties that was a bit more footballing than the lucky toss of a coin.

Your welcome.

They are. That win lifted them off the bottom of the SPL. And kept Rangers off the top.

On Greenhill Road? Yeah, they've thrown it up. Just not quick enough for the start of this season. They're going to move into it after 22 of the 38 games this season (ie. when they've played everyone home and away once to prevent any accusations of bias)

Looks like yet another soulless wonder to me. The newer football stadia in Scotland are all the same.

It looked like a field with some chairs round it. That said, I didn't get much chance to look at it - I was too busy dealing with a prat in an astra.
