Oh yeah, proud Dad (well, kinda) time!

the missus daughter has just got GCSE results - 4 B's and 5 C's..! Whoop! That's better than I managed!

So pleased for her!

Suppose I'll have to get my wallet out now...

Better than I managed too! Well done Dimtim Junior. Not that my parents got their wallets out when I passed mine - I guess they couldn't have afforded to give me money. But I'm still glad I did.

No, me neither! Unfortunately, tricky thing, parenting. Her older brother showed less promise during this period - so was offered financial incentives, should he succeed. He didn't. But, if you offer one, you gotta offer the other, even if she was showing signs of 'doing it for herself'.

We'll be sitting down tonight for a chat, I'll be offering up an IOU (at least until PayDay)... She'll understand!

I didn't get anything, but under Ben's system I wouldn't have got anything anyway... 6 Cs, but nothing above that.

Well done Ms TimJim.

I remember my classmates getting financial incentives for good grades, and my mum said that they wouldn't do that as I should want to pass exams for myself, not for monetary reward. That may have been a cover for the fact they couldn't afford it, but maybe they were right :) In the end I got two As, a B, three Cs and two Ds - a bit of everything. Then a B, C and D at A level - again, a good old mixture - and a 2.1 BA Hons. Just a Pass at MA though, thanks mainly to poor organisation and half-formed ideas. I graduated from that 10 years ago and some of my essays make me cringe a bit now.

My sister, who was a shockingly low opinion of her own intellect, beasted her exams so I'm hoping she'll realise now that she is a smart cookie. The internal conflict with bloody wummin, honestly.

As for my recent exam, I'm now a qualified referee with the Scottish Football Association. I am a wanker.

She did. Was a most pleasant evening. 'Er indoors had podded a bottle of bubbly in the fridge and I got vino (Black Tower, no less  ) on the way home. Also picked up my gal last night for an extended weekend, so we had a right lovely night, played some cards after dinner. Although, at only 11 still, my girly was a little disgruntled at 'only' being allowed a tiny drop of wine in lemonade..! Told her, her time will come! Kids, eh?!

My crew have arrived.

Just need to squeeze in the back and we'll be on our way.

I realise The Wiggles are Australian but I googled images for angry Scotsmen and this popped up. Must say it tickled me quite a bit.

No jokes, I'll straight up kick Po full on in her tubbie vagina.

Dipsy on other hand is disturbing me quite a bit. And giving the black one a gun...

Controversial.
