Do you think the last chapter was added to try and stop either JK or other authors returning to the story in years to come, when the holiday fund has dried up?
If so, it failed - the last three words of the book leave it WIDE open for another episode, or even another series should she - or someone else - wish.
Anyway, I loved it. For me it was a return to the original essence of Harry Potter - ie a children's story. Yes it could have been darker, yes it could have been grittier, but I'm glad it wasn't, because for me, darkness and grittiness were what went wrong in Order of the Phoenix and Half Blood Prince. But I suppose it depends what you're looking for from the book. Me, when I pick up a children's book, I don't expect to find an adult story in it.
