Does that help?

You missed the one that started it

Munki Bhoy wrote:And I mean real Ireland, not that occupied bit.

And the one that pushed it along

Gaspode_The_Wonder_Dog wrote:Is it possible to block individual members so you ignore their posts? Knobhead here would be my first - "that occupied bit" indeed.

Ah, see now it makes sence.

I have also replied in the mean time, and agree wholeheartedly with you both.

" That occupied bit" Indeed.

I remove you every now and then to see if your being a knobhead still!

So that's what the foes list does! That would be really weird though as you wouldn't be able to see certain posts and people would be replying to them and it wouldn't make sense

I think that's why people tend not to use it - its a flawed concept.

"That occupied bit" refers to the fact the British Army have a "Low Intensity Operation" currently ongoing in Northern Ireland. This is recognised by the British Army themselves as being different from just having divisions, regiments and/or corps based there. The fact that some in that territory recognise the British army as a hostile force means it is quite permissible to refer to the six counties that make up Northern Ireland as "the occupied bit".

NONE of this refers to religion in any way. It is a wrongful assumption that in Ireland all Catholics are Republican and all Protestants are Unionist.

Although now that I'm apparently on the foe list of most of you, this post is relatively pointless now.

Your not on my foe list either (to be honest I've never seen the point of them anyway), I don't ever bother talking about Northern Ireland in all honesty anyway, especially considering it's two strains of more or less the same religion having a go at each other (and yes I realise there's more to it than that).

No it isn't in my opinion.

It is however just that, my opinion.

The fact that we can disagree, is a good thing.

And you're a * anyway!

Yeah. The army actually differentiate between their various divisions being based here, there and everywhere, and their "operations". The NI "operation" is pretty limited compared to what it used to be. If you want to get really technical, we still "occupy" Germany! Although that's a different thing again.

Anyway, apologies for bringing all this into the football thread. I of all people should know better.

Goal of the month anyway. Mike Summerbee made me laugh, made himself look a right ninny.

Nah. Give us a shout when he comes off the bench in a cup final and scores the winning goal with an overhead kick. Until then, Ally McCoist still wins.
