My dad absolutely loathed Thatcher, I guess it rubbed off on me a little bit, I had no love for the woman either.

I saw someone sum up Thatcher's reign thusly: "Thatcher = Record levels of unemployment. Brit manufacturing capacity halved. Hospitals closed. Schools closed. Deregulated the financial sector. Poll tax. VAT INCREASE FROM 8% - 17.5%. Depleted Britains Housing Stock. Supported Apartheid. Support Pinochet. Biggest Transfer of wealth from poor to rich."

Also, after reading Deadly's comments in this thread, I must say....

You know * all. Go educate yourself instead of copy and pasting random misinformation from Wikipedia. And don't try and deny you did do that because last time I looked you had just posted the top bit. You've gone away and trawled the Internet for negative things to say about Thatcher in an effort to come across as intelligent. Pathetic.

Yes Deadly, that's exactly what I did. I went away and spent hours trawling the internet for facts because I was SO concerned about making myself sound intelligent....*rolleyes*

In actual fact I saw those comments in a youtube video, and thought they were relevant to my post, so I added them.

I added the troll picture because it's true.

As for the pathetic jibe, well, don't think I need to respond to it really, you're doing a good enough job of digging a hole for yourself. Maybe you can share Thatcher's?

Great decision by Ben Cooper. I have always said he had great intelligence and vision.

The song had been bought for disrespectful reasons and it has been bought by people who weren't even sperms at the time of Thatcher's time in power and have bought the song purely to join in with the rest of the troglodytes who have bought it. It would also open the door for future protest downloads.

From what I gather they will get to the number one record and play the song whilst saying the artist name and the title. It will still be acknowledged but not played in full.

Yeah. Whenever they reach its position in the chart presumably that news bulletin will just replace the actual playing of the song.
