I find the battery life on my I-pod mini rubbish. Only lasts a couple of hours yet my mini disc player has 80 hours (thats when you use a proper battery and not the rechargeable one qhich lasts 16 hours).

i have never needed to fully recharge my ipod. (bless the car charger!) i really don't trust special batteries you have to recharge. not on an mp3 player, nor on a digital camera. it's all voodoo.

On the topic of downloading music, anyone aware of allofmp3.com - Russian site, and due to a Russian legal loophole it is actually legal to use the site.

Just downloaded the Ian Brown greatest hits in 256kps mp3 for $2. Its great, you choose the exact quality you want, in what format, the the bigger the filesize the more you pay. You could download it as uncompressed wavs if you wanted.

is it really legal? i know it's sort of an iffy area for copyrights, and i have a feeling that if the RIAA wanted to, they could bust people for it here in the states.

interesting, though from what i've unsterdood about it, the site itself is not illegal, but people living in areas where the rights are held by other companies is. that's the grey area.
