1) JAWS has been spotted off the Cornwall coast. (In the sea - wow!)

How over-sensational is that? Jaws? They mean some random great white shark presumably; so a creature that lives in the sea, was spotted in the sea; how is that even news? (NB: I haven't read the article).

This was front page news on Saturday, when I was sat in the barbers. It's reported to be a great white, though that's not certain, by any stretch.

By contrast:

Cornish shark conservationist Richard Peirce, who saw the footage, said the possibility it was a Great White could not be ruled out.

But coastguards have dismissed the claims as "scare-mongering".

Mr Peirce, chairman of the Shark Trust, said it was impossible to make a conclusive identification and that it could have also been either a Mako or a Porbeagle shark.

It is significant to note that I had to go to the Cornwall section of the BBC News web site to find this, and even then it wasn't anywhere near the top story. For it to be The Sun's top story is, as you say, sensationalist to say the least.
