No. The difference is Iain amused some people with his tripe. This is just plain * annoying.

Here's a novel thought, Teddi-da-Tit, why don't you put the bloody punctuation marks in AS YOU TYPE IT rather than after it's finished? You know, train your brain.

Yudster has described why dsyxelia isn't an excuse, you just need to learn to spell using different methods - it doesn't mean you'll never be able to spell properly.

And no, it has nothing to do with punctuation or grammar. It's also a sad reflection on the education system nowadays that people apparently struggle with the basic foundations of the English language.

That's exactly how you can tell that teddi da tit is lying about being dyslexic - because the is exactly what dyslexics are taught to do. Anybody who is genuinely dyslexic would take far more care than this idiot.

You lot and your grammar.
Okay it annoys my when people can't spell for toffee, but without the spell checkers, i would be in the same boat.
It isn't necessarily laziness. I mean, i haven a wireless keyboard and sometimes when its low on batteries it mixes letters up, discounts use of spaces and is generally stupid. Other times i type too fast and hit the wrong letter.
Or, i just can't spell.
It isn't THAT big a deal as long as the point trying to be made is recieved.

Dyslexia ftw!

I rarely accuse someone of openly lying to me as there could be all sorts of mitigating circumstances. I prefer to believe that people tell the open and honest truth to me but are simply idiots!

Nobody minds typos and mistakes. But compare your average post to teddi da tit. Thats the difference between reasonable effort (which is all that anybody is asking) and stupid laziness.

Your posting is exactly what I would expect of someone with dyslexia - it's done carefully, with thought and effort!

One of my favourite words...along with Plinth.

Incidently (another nice word) should't this topic be called "GrammAr and spelling - stick up for yourself if you hate it"

That's only because i know you guys will pull me up on it.
If i took all spell checkers off, and just wrote posts as they came - there would be a vast difference.
Im just too much of a perfectionist for my own good i think :P Damn virgo traits!

Oh and Andy; lugubrious :)

Nah I'm still sticking with Plinth. When a woman slowly and silently mouths that word it looks very sexy indeed.

I'll see you're lugubrious and raise you an exquisite.

If you are gonna start a thread on the subject, at least pay attention to what people tell you.
