Start with the movies. That's pretty much how I started. Although when I started there was only movies and the original series.

And it's the even numbered ones that are traditionally the good ones. Wrath of Khan (II) is the best. Nemesis (X) is a rip off of Khan but still the second best of the Next Generation movies. First Contact (VIII) is the best of those. That just leaves Voyage Home (IV aka "the one with the whales") and Undiscovered Country (VI) which was done by the same guy that did Khan.

Interestingly, the new one out in May will be XI, so it's an odd number. Need to see if that bucks the trend.

Oh yes, and you're not quoting Khan, you're quoting Kirk. :)

"The one with the whales" was always my favourite when I was younger. It's ages since I watched it.

I need to watch Khan again actually. It's been ages since I sat and watched any of them properly. I was in an out of Insurrection earlier as it was on one of the Sky movie channels. But then, it's quite bad.

Thanks for clearing that up, hmm, interesting, I have thought about buying the films recently as I have all of the Who stories in some shape or form (DVD, Video, LC Recons) & needs some vintage Sci-Fi.

However I've never had an incling to ever go to a convention, mainly as some fans are scarily geeky 8O

You wouldn't catch me dead at a convention. Star Trek is an excellent series and I enjoy it a lot. I even dream of travelling into space myself. But that's pretty much where it stops for me. In the end, it's just a work of fiction!

I don't need to get all dressed up in my pointy ears and uniform or stick a cornish pasty to my forehead and get into my best armour just to go accuse anyone that will listen about how someone had their shoe laces tied in one scene but then not in the next.

Now, I AM sad enough to know when pretty much every line of the movie is said... like that one.

Same here, there's a few actors I'd like to meet from Classic Who, however I'd never dream of going to the convention dressed up as one of the characters to discuss about continuity errors in the programme

To me Who is just a piece of escapist fiction, which, compared to most of the sh*te on TV is a nice escape from all the shouting & bitching on the soaps

I'm the complete opposite, I'm going to miss Coxy in the mornings. Never been a big fan of Whiley I'm afraid

My flatmate and I were saying the exact same thing about Lost the other day. We're both ridiculous Lost geeks, but neither of us would ever dream of dressing in Dharma uniforms and going to conventions. We're quite happy just being geeky within the confines of our own flat!

Sorry but come on, Whiley has no personality whatsoever!

I agree TBH, I've never been a fan of Whiley's & although the same could be said for me for Coxy, I have really grown to like her over the last couple of months. Keep her here instead of shifting her round the schedule all the time.

So not only is the Chappers & Dave show coming to an end until whenever they're next needed, we're also losing Coxy after Moyles :(
