Blackadder and Fawlty Towers are sitting at level peggings so far, Father Ted is taking up the rear with Only Fools in fourth place.

For me, in no particular order:

Porridge - this one will still be great, 30 years on, a piece of excellence by Barker, suprised more haven't voted for it.

Fawlty Towers - Again another great comedy, and although looks dated the comic timing is still sublime

Father Ted - Channel 4's best sitcom, always makes me laugh out loud every time I watch it, the only episode I dislike is the Eurovision one but the rest are excellent

Black Books - Channel 4's second best sitcom (which originally for me was Demond's) Morgan, Bailey & Greig are excellent together, shame it only ran three series

Others that would get my vote also (if we could vote more four) would be:

Rising Damp - A rare thing that a ITV (Yorkshire Television) sitcom is actually funny, a bit dated (look & language) but still great, always associated this sitcom with Channel 4 when I was younger as they seem to repeat it adnausem.

Open All Hours - Great cast again & a great sitcom, well Barker is involved yet again so that's understandable, dated more than Porridge (even though it was made afterwards), then again Tesco's have killed off grocers so that's the reason why

Men Behaving Badly - Rude & Crude but rather funny, rare example of a sitcom doing poorly on one network (Thames/ITV) and then suddenly doing well on the BBC, I wonder if ITV ever regret telling Thames it was cancelled?

Blackadder - Another classic, however a poor series 1 & millennium special kind of knock this out of the top four for me

Red Dwarf - Series II-VI are great, the rest are patchy

Bottom & The Young Ones - Both funny, however there's times when I'm really not in the mood for these both for some reason

Spaced - Not on the list but I always liked this one, even if it was a bit wierd

Desmonds - Again not on the list but did rather enjoy this one, best characters were Desmond, Porkpie, Matthew & Michael
