See now for me that's one of the worst, I hate that song, actually I don't think I like a single B52 song, just something about the style of it.

The worst on that one is this: E-Zee Possee Feat. Mc Kinky - Everything Starts With An E

Now I have this on Now That's What I Call Music 17, go to you tube & find it and listen to the lyrics, it'll make you wonder how Now Music didn't catch those lyrics and how they managed to make the "blunder".

Whenever I say "it means nothing to me" about anything I always wanna add "oh Vienna". Then I remember that I work with a bunch of 20-25 yr olds and none of them have heard of that song cos they weren't born...

We've had Absolute 80s radio on in the office for the past few weeks actually, so stuff like Vienna has been on repeat. I'm always like "ah, I remember buying this song on 7" vinyl" and the rest of them are like "I wasn't born". Curse their youth!

My Gid, 1993 was awful for music. This is the best one I could find and it still really annoys me.

Why that stupid song annoys me. (Skip to 2:34)

To be fair I think with the exception of the Rod Stewart, Soul II Soul & Tina Turner tunes the rest didn't chart that well at all, although I remember a lot of them from when I was young, oddly enough the Dave A Stewart (he of the Eurythmics) I only know of because Chris Tarrant used to use the track as a bed back in the 90's on his Capital FM show, a lot up their either charted between 20-40 or where the follow up to a big hit (Blue Pearl released Naked In The Rain, for example) but their follow up single bombed badly. Most of these also are from the old Now albums (Now 17 & 18 to be exact) but most didn't even make it onto the latter Now 1990 compilations.

To be fair I do have 6650 songs (and counting) on my iPod so I'm bound to have some stuff those of you on here may have never heard of :)

Nerd Mode over ;)

I was 16 in 1991, so I was probably far too busy pretending to be cool to listen to chart music :)

I don't know how many songs I have on my mp3 player. Maybe a couple thousand. I'm very selective in what I put on there tho. I like to cull regularly to minimise the skip factor.

Bloody hell, I take it you have a 160GB iPod then as well? Do they still make those ones or have they stopped making them now.

To be fair I have got certain songs in yearly lists, however I'll be honest I don't often listen to the whole list for each year, however I pick & choose songs to make playlists of songs, but it's just so I have them all in one place & that they're easier to find.

Woah don't tar us all with the same brush! I wish I could have Absolute 80s on, the woman I share my office with always opts straight for radio 2.

I have one of the old 80gb video's with 15gb free so if i fill that i might upgrade to the 160ga Classic which I do believe is still being made.
