when i looked it said bohemian rhapsody sold more when it was released on 2 dates, so combined i guess

Then that would help it to sell more. So in a way thats still not a good indication of sales as it's the two and not just the one off release.

I think I know the songs Nablo is talking about but other than that i do'nt really know any Rolling Stones songs, and biasedly I'd choose the Beatles as I've grown up with them. I don't feel they're overrated becasue of the hype which surrounded them in the 60s as, as I'm sure you can work out, I wasn't around i the 60s yet I absolutely love the Beatles.

Favourite song- typically Yesterday, but partly for personal reasons.

victoria is a pretty good sog, but it's not their best. though that album, arthur, is a wonderful work. the fact that ray davies could capture aspects of daily life and the british conscience in the course of an album is something very few people could do well. did the beatles ever do an actual rock opera or and actual concept album? no! i think in that regards, ray davies' song writing is more advanced/mature. they aren't just "pop ditties" like the beatles and 'stones. the who had the same thing. townshend wasn't THAT good with they lyrics, but he knew how to string melodies around together.

so what? they made great songs that inspired and continue to inspire generations. they are the reason many of todays artists (Liam Gallagher being a prime example) are doing what they are doing. and they did what they did extremely well.
