mcqueen pop idol is a subjective term. it can depend on who you ask...

The runners up always become winners. Look at Liberity X for example. 18 registered sam nixon .co.uk and .com on 28th Sept I think, so it was obviously he was going get to record deal.

I haven't been following Pop Idol this year so I can't really say much on their singing abilities.

Sam is massive around here. You can't switch the telly on without his mush being on the screen.

I wouldn't know him if I saw or heard him.

You can't go anywhere in Barnsley without seeing his face. People still have big posters saying Vote Sam in their front windows (now including 'Well Done, You're still OUR pop Idol' written on in black marker). At the start of the competetion he walked by me at college and hardly anyone noticed who it was, i doubt he'd be able to do that now.

Everything round B'ham is for Mark, its driving me crazy. I'd still rather he won than Michelle tho, I just want to slap her...

The Darkness and Gary Jules are outselling Pop Idols 3 to 1 with Ozzy Osbourne and Avid Merrion also outselling them. They are midweek chart number 5

Regardless of what happened to Ozzy, does anyone else think that that Changes song is a pile of crap? I can hardly listen to it.

Changes ia alright but I didn't expect it to get to number1. Probably a sympathy vote.

changes is a good song but it's ruined by the fact kelly osbourne can't sing

I just find it unlisternable, their voices just dont go together. I find it has a simular effect on me to Believe by Cher.

I like Ozzy and Kelly, and I like Avid Merrion. Is Bill Nighy the same as Billy Mack? I think its terrible, but hilarious!

hi posters

the darkness should be number 1 coz i think it is the best song released this week, also i like the avid merrien one buti think it might be too extreme to be a classic christmas song, maybe for that reason it willbecome a classic, anyway these are my views

As it says in MC's link. I'd rather have The Darkness at number 1 out of that and Mad World but if I could choose who would be x-mas nunber 1 it would be Avid Merrion.

Went into HMV today. Absolutly sold out of The Darkness and Bo Selecta. Gary Jules had loads on the shelf but not as many as the Osbournes who in turn didn't have as many as the Pop idol record.

But that doesn't mean much, maybe they just stocked more of some than others.

Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. It was just earlier on in the thread, and on Scott Mills' show how pop idol had loads of records still on the shelf.
