Wyatt wrote:Heres how to bluejack.

1. Create a new contact, and where you normally put the name of the person, write your message. Something like "Hello, Im stalking you"
2. Save the contact
3. Go to a busy place
4. Turn your bluetooth On
5. Select that contact and send via bluetooth
6. It will now scan for other devices that are bluetooth enabled
7. Choose someone, and send.

So you can't actually send a proper text message then?

No you cant send a text message in the normal way. (theres probably a bluejack program you can download somewhere so you can send a direct message without creating a contact)

What you can do with bluetooth is, send pictures, music files to other phones. You can transfer files between your phone and your computer without cables, all you need is a Bluetooth USB dongle.

Oh, and be careful, there are quite a few Snarfs about, look on http://www.bluejackq.com for more info, basically bluesnarfing is where 'they' nick data stored on a bluetooth phone, which can include such things as address books or at worst credit card details, you are able to lock your phone so no one can get in, if you have a bluetooth phone I would suggest you look into this for your own peace of mind if nothing else.

haha welcome to the most annoying phone in the world.

hope it isn't on O2.

I'm not liking the annoying 'joypad' type thing. It keeps thinking you've pressed it when you're trying to move in a direction. You have to own one to know what I'm talking about.

I got a replacement as mine didn't receive text messages as it was incompatible with O2. My mate had problems with it only letting him store 2 or 3 text messages.

Sidla,

Go to the Menu and look for Connectivity

Connectivity is where the Bluetooth settings are. There you can change the name of the phone and actually switch Bluetooth on.

For example if you want to send a picture to someone go to File Manager. Choose the picture you would like to send and then select Send via Bluetooth. A list of devices should appear, select the device you would like the picture sending to.

If you're having problems, just go into where you brought it or infact any mobile shop and they'll show you.. :)

The menu doesn't tell you. I think the way Wyatt said is the only way you can do it.

*Manual I mean, not menu.

Also, I can't see anything called 'file manager' Adam.

pictures can be located in the file manager or gallery. Easier to go to gallery though.

I got the Samsung D500 and it's an amazing phone, it's as easy as pie to use. It's fun searching for people with Bluetooth when I'm in college or in the town centre, best person I've found so far is "pissflaps".

Do you actually HAVE any other infra-red devices to use it with?

with my camera phone, I didn't have any idea how to use infra-red until I beamed pictures from it to my PDA.

Also, I don't know whether this may shed light on the feature not working, but I actually had to switch IR Reception on in my options, and even then it doesn't stay on for long.

Turn IR on and aim it in your eye.

Note: I am not responsible for the consequences.

You turn the IR on in the Connectivity bit of the phone to actually activate it but then when you want to set up a 2-player game with another phone, nothing happens or at least it doesnt with me and the other person anyway.
