Yeah remakes of most things are pretty sh1te,
Thunderbirds, Italian Job, Rollerball, The Ring, Flight of the Phoenix, Dawn of the Dead.

Only really seen 1 good remake that sticks in my mind and that was Ocean's 11, which i liked both versions of.

Only thing I could see that was better was lack of subtitles, but I didn't mind the subtitles in the original. Might give the yank Ring2 a chance after listening to the film review guy on Jo Whiley today. He said it was much darker and more like the japanese 1 as the japanese director was heavily involved. The Japanese 1 is on channel 4 again tonight I think.

Yes, it was on Channel 4 quiet late.

I went upstairs to watch Alien v Predator. Personally I should of stuck with Subtitled The Ring. AvP - Awful awful.

Yeah AVP was pretty bad, wouldda been a fairly decent actioner if we'd had that then the Alien and Predator films after (tho not the last Alien please, it was bad too). Its ring 2 thats on tonight, channel 4 seems to have this thing about showing these two films together on consecutive nights as this is the 3rd or 4th time now, lol, haven't seen Ring0 yet tho.
