The surreal thought that the flats I can see while lying in my bed won't exist in a little over 4 hours time. Demolition shouldn't be this exciting!

Cool!! That was wicked. We don't get that sort of stuff in Brighton. The most exciting stuff we have is when terrorists try and blow up the grand hotel, and even that happens late at night. :(

"That was * fast wasn't it?" made me chuckle also.

There's ifs and butts involved, but that's the long and short of it.

I can't believe I didn't notice this in the first place, but that is an unfortunate misspelling...

It was most definitely deliberate.

And now, back to bed!

Wooo - thats not where I thought you meant!

I was sound asleep at that time of day but if I had remembered, I might have made the effort. Also, I know where you stay now *stalks*.

My mate used to stay there.

So have I. I even had to consciously make sure I wasn't looking through the phone camera as it happened, just so I really was watching it live! The jolt you can feel as it happens is a weird sensation - probably explains why the camera shakes just at the first blast! Although I knew it was coming, it still took me by surprise!

It scared the crap out of those ducks, didn't it? I loved the "And then there were none" remark.

The van (of the model Richard Hammond used and rolled in the Top Gear van challenge) that was painted like The Mystery Machine made me smile somewhat when it drove past me today.

SAV1OUR, I LOVE your avatar! I really cannot wait until the new batman comes out!! I love Batman, and Heath Ledger looks awesome as the Joker!

Although as much as I'm excited, the fact that the film is out of sequence with all the previous Batman films (Micheal Keaton, etc) annoys me.
In the first Batman, the joker (Jack Nicholson) is created through falling into a tub of goo in a factory scene. In this film, the joker has appeared as a new villain in Gotham City, i.e He's newly appeared, which confuses me as the whole point of the "new" batman films was to go back in time to see how Batman came about, his history, etc. Which means that they should have stopped right there; as the way they ended the film would have nicely slotted in behind the Micheal Keaton Batman. But no, they've decided to cash in on it and continue the story which makes no sense. Does anyone else get where I'm coming from and agree?
Don't get me wrong, I love Batman films and any films for that matter that have the ability to go backwards (like Star Wars) but it annoys the hell out of me, when they start to make no sense with the actual and ORIGINAL story.

The way they did the Star Wars was excellent as it made sense, however this one doesn't. It overlaps.

Rusty, the new Batman series are totally separate from the other batman series. It has always been well documented that this is the case. This one is a much darker representation of the story, and although I haven't seen it, the character of the Joker in the new film is much closer to the character he has become in the comic books. Joker isn't some slightly irritating painted petty thief who like pratical jokes (like the TV series) or even a well polished mob boss who wants money and power (Jack Nicholson), he is an insane serial killer of the highest degree. I really can't wait.

Oh really? Oh ok. Then that's fair enough.
Because I haven't ever read anywhere that the new batman films were going to be different and not a continuation of the others I just assumed that they were because they went into the past (like Star Wars). Cheers Zoot!

I can't wait either, it looks so dark and so much closer to the comics which is excellent! I can see myself seeing this film more than once in the cinema!

I actually wanted to see that last week but for some strange reason it's not on in Cineworld Brighton at the moment. Really wish it was now!
