Excellent stuff! Can't wait!

Speaking of smash and bash, for the first time yesterday, I watched "The Day After Tomorrow" - what an excellent film. Considering I generally don't do distaster movies, because they're too predictable, this one was excellent!

I do like it when films suprise you, like Hulk; I expected it to be full of smash and bash, but it wasn't. But it was still good!

I saw the worst disaster movie I have ever seen the other day - talk about COMPLETELY predictable from the first five minutes - it was Twister.

Agreed. That is dire, and the universal studios "ride" is even worse, it's just a room that slightly shakes around you and smells of sweat. When it began I thought a fat guy was jumping, then it stopped, then the doors opened, then people walked out. That was it! I knew it was bad when I saw that a baby was still asleep in it's carrier.

I saw that I didn't find it predictable at all! But then i was expecting a horror movie about a giant green and white Ice lolly terrorizing tokyo...

Did you also find it strange how their truck had been through an incredible amount of destructive wind and came out completely unscathed (although I think perhaps it did get smashed up at the end, I can't remember)?

I found so many aspects of the movie completely ridiculous I lost count. What a totally awful film.

I cooked dinner tonight and it wasn't too bad. I was a bit disappointed with my saute potatoes, but I can live with that.

Next monday.. er, not sure. Good recipes (preferably involving meat) welcome.

Incidentally, Richard Hammond reminded me of myself last night when he went through all the fish products saying "I can't eat that, I can't eat that.."

Topher, I know exactly what you mean. I am never going to Japan has I just don't like any seafood. Annoying that includes fish. I wish I liked fish. I like the smell of it when it's cooked, but don't ask me to eat it, I'll throw up. Such as shame.

Worse still, I don't like poultry and until recently I didn't like red meat. Oh thank crunchie I grew out of the not liking red meat thing. Still haven't finished a whole steak yet, but I'll get there. And if I can grow out of not liking red meat, maybe one day poultry and seafood will follow.

She ate half her meals in Maccy Ds and the other half in the hotel.....I cant wait

That's just weird. Not a whole steak?! Try having it rare.

It was medium rare, and the only reason I stopped was because I was stuffed. Oh, best of all, it was complimentary as I was at corporate hospitality at Celtic Park at the time.

The only thing that beats food, is free food.

I'm probably the most carnivorous person you could ever wish to meet (except for the fish). I love a good mixed grill.

Do yourself a good old Spag Bol Toph (from scratch, none of this 'sauce from a jar' bollocks...)
just fry your mince, onions, mushrooms, salt, pepper and garlic untill browning, add a large glass of red wine, add tinned chopped tomatoes, a big dollop of tomato puree, simmer down so the sauce condenses for 45 minutes or so, boil the spaghetti, serve with garlic bread. Easy and yummy.
