I am another person who buys more tv series than I do films on dvd. the things I would be particularly keen to replace would be:

Friends seasons 1 and 2
Frasier seasons 1-8
Seinfeld seasons 3-9
Black Books, all of 'em
Father Ted, again all of 'em
Green Wing

stand up comedy ones: all the Ross Noble, Bill Bailey, Eddie Izzard and Dave Gorman stuff

films: Easy Rider
Trainspotting
Wayne's world
Edward Scissorhands
Pulp Fiction
my Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn box sets

Nicola I got Black books from DVD.co.uk for 13.99 they have an amazing boxset sale on at the minute!

Ahhh missed that bit Topher, assumed she's already misplaced them. I did wonder how she's managed to lose so much stuff. I'm obviously having a blonde day!

Sorry, I didn't specify that, I just went along with the theme some other people had started earlier in the thread, ie if there was a fire or something which dvds would you want to replace. Actually I did kinda lose a lot of those cos my ex owned them and when we split I had to buy my own copies. Before I moved out of the flat we shared I made a list and I carried it around with me for months. It was the same with cds.

I'm definitely getting into Ross Noble, I must get some DVDs, I assume you would agree since he's on your list of first things you'd replace? Has he been to your theatre?

Yeah he has, but it's a few years ago now, I didn't get to meet him unfortunately. I've seen him live twice and i'm going again next month. I have all his dvds and they're all excellent - I think Sonic Waffle is the best but it's a close call.

i wish i could get green wing on dvd here. it may be worth getting the region 2 version of... or downloading them. that's what we had to do for the last series of alan partridge.

i should buy black books.
