Caffeine free Coke is just coke with the caffeine omitted. Decaf coffee and alcohol free beer have had their illicit substances removed. I guess in that case, I'd say caffeine free Coke was better.

I'm with kKndra. I used to drink far too much coffee so for the last 18 months I drink decaf and feel much better for it, in fact if I have caffeine now I shake and my heart races. It HAS to be Dowe Egberts or Kenco decaf though, everything else tastes like ground acorns.

Dr J (formerly known as Mr kendra k) has switched to decaf and he says it only tastes normal if you add some regular- like a tablespoon. I know caffeine's bad for you, but I'm hooked! It keeps my migraines more manageable.

Of all the evils that are alcohol free lager, Becks is far and away the best.. it actually tastes similar to real lager.

It's still no substitute though.

Coke- caffeine is an added ingredient in the mix. Coffee- naturally has caffeine. Beer- the brewing process naturally creates alcohol. The latter two need a special process to remove caffeine/alcohol. The former just needs an ingredient omitted.

I always thought that caffine was used as a flavouring as well actually.

I wouldnt say something tastes "LIKE pish", I would just say it "tastes pish". It can "taste like piss" if you wish though.

You do have a point- caffeine isn't the main flavoring of Coke, though it does give it a slight bitterness, or bite. (Do you get Barq's over there?)
