God knows why Cameron says he wants to get involved in the investigation, what a clown.

Cameron is a complete & total T**T, I mean Brown's rubbish but Cameron is a hypocritical smug git

As for this whole situation, well, they were silly boys but surely the one at fault is the producer. How many times did we hear Rhys shout out "time for another tune Chris" or Rachel shout out "Is it time for the news Chris?" when they knew he was starting to approach "that" line.

Brand I think is a bit of an a*se anyway & I'm suprised he lasted as long as he did on Radio2, as for Ross, I'm a bit dissapointed really & I genuinly think he's sorry about what he did.

As for replacements for Brand, how about bringing back the mighty team of Mark & Lard, a duo that I wish would come back.

Oh he was on that & when he used to be on BBBM he used to be funny, mainly as the majority of the later BB contestants are full of sh*te anyway, however I've got a bit bored of him, sometimes he's controversial for the sake of being controversial.

I always liked the way they would ramble on get really Northern (even though they already quite Northern anyway) & you couldn't understand a word they said, well if you were from the South anyway

BTW apologies to the poster above me the quoting thing has gone up the wall & you can't edit ramble posts unfortunately

All of Mark and Lard's shit was amazing. You can't think that they were crap, and if you do then your opinion was just as bad as others...

You know, I think Andrew Sachs had every right to be offended by the answerphone messages that were left for him, I certainly would be. As I understand it his agent complained to the BBC on his behalf, rightly so, and it was being dealt with.

The Daily Hate, as usual, has blown the whole thing wide open and out of proportion and we've now lost, in my opinion, a very talented and funny presenter. I loved RBs podcasts and would often laugh out loud listening to them. It's interesting that there were only two complaints before the Daily Hate ran with the story, after that every man and his tabloid reading, pursed lipped, cohort has seen fit to complain. Probably because they've got a stick up their proverbials about RBs and JRs reported salaries, I would also take a wild stab in the dark that most of those that complained had never listened to RBs show before.

I did cringe when I listened to the podcast and at the time thought it had crossed the line and that apologies would be forthcoming. As always though, context is everything.

A sorry story for everyone involved.

I agree with what someone said earlier....this would never have been allowed to happen had Rachel been producing the show.

I can't be bothered to go back quoting, but whoever said that it shouldn't have been broadcast, you are correct, but that doesn't fix the fact that obscene and personally offensive messages were left on someone's voicemail.

And whoever started the whole political talk, this may not be the correct topic for it, but whether you like it or not, Cameron is highly likely to be the next Prime Minister. It makes no difference to the little people like us though. I defy anyone on a low to slightly higher than average salary to say their lives have significantly changed through a change of Government in recent times.

There hasn't BEEN a change of Government* in recent times (or was that your point).

When I say recent years, I guess I mean the 1997 election... I'm not sure about before then. Although I realise that is only one change.

Isn't Government supposed to be capitalised?

Hmm, I think perhaps I was wrong because I wasn't talking about a specific government, whereas if you are talking about the Government, then it's capitalised.

My god, why oh why does everybody want to get upset on someone else's behalf. I've listened to the interview on Youtube and, (a) it wasn't funny. (b) it didn't offend me at all. Had I have been the young ladies grandfather then it may have offended me, but I'm not.

It's just bloody typical. If he (the grandfather) finds it offensive, then do something about it, through the police/courts, if he doesn't then it's a case of 'least said, soonest mended'. Gordon Brown really has bigger things to worry about, but sadly he doesn't seem to realise this.

To anyone who found it offensive, grow up or shut the * up. It wasn't aimed at you, and it was a joke made about a woman who is well above the age of consent. Her grandfaher was once a young man like Russell Brand, and knows what it's like to be young and say "silly" things. In short he's been there, and got the cap and T shirt. He's no doubt giving it a wry smile whilst opening another pack of Werthers Originals.

Sachs, whilst respected, put himself on the show for publicity despite Brand making comments about his grand-daughter the week before so I do wish the public would stop making him out as a fragile old man, he was very close to the mark himself back in the day but that kind of right-wing attitude doesn't seem to bother the Mail readers quite as much which is funny.

This should maybe even be on topic as it seems Chris has been gaged which is worrying to say the least, Moyles towing the corporate kiss arse line means he is nearer to Wogan's slot than I first thought, what a yellow belly.

I know it happened last night, but I'm absolutely * gutted that he's quit! He brought me a lot of enjoyment and used to love the fact he had 'wrinkly rocker' Noel Gallagher on the show almost every week. Anyways it's all done and dusted now, although I'm not really sure how many listeners he got on the saturday 9pm Radio 2 slot, but I bet that none of the thousands of complaints were from listeners to his show.

By the way, what sort of people take time out of their lives to complain to ofcom? I doubt that no matter how offended I was about something, I would never be arsed to complain about it!

I looked in the vessel that I had my morning drink in and there was a grey cloud in it, it was raining and blowing wind really hard, I thought hey! that's just like this thing with the blokes on the Radio.

Hang on. The thought occurs that if it was pre-recorded then the answerphone messages would have been left anyway. So are these people complaining about the messages themselves which they wouldn't know about had the been not broadcast them but still would have been made. Or are they complaining about the broadcast itself where the only other problem would maybe be the language which was after the watershed anyway?

Stupid people who complain.
