Can't stop smiling this morning.

I'm suspicious of this comment because of the date...

Today's show is making me laugh today, especially all the rubbish April Fools.

There was someone who texted in about Chris' swearing, and they were all wondering what it was they'd said. Am I the only one who was brought up to believe that 'crap' was a swear word? It always amazes me when Chris says it on air, especially with the BBC as it is at the moment. Not that it bothers me, I'm just curious to know whether it really is seen as a swear word or not.

"They need me to come and kick the station up the arse, that's what they hired me to do. What do I bring to the station? Me and my little world, everything that goes with it including big breasted women, crap competitions, the word crap - been missing for far too long - dwarves, dwarf tossings off bridges... my world. I'm the saviour of broadcasting."

Moyles on Radio One, Deluxe Magazine Interview - May 1998

Seems like its always been the case, I guess, crap is ok, its in the same league as 'Bloody Hell' for me.

My mum never swears, I don't think I've ever even heard her say 'bloody', but I have heard her say 'crap', so for that reason I don't consider it a swearword, though others may disagree.

I get confused with swearing, it's all about the context - If i said I had a 'Bloody nose', would I be swearing? No.
Isn't 'Craps' some sort of game?

I guess my parents always have been rather conservative.

Clearly. Conservative people refer to conservative people as conservative. Non-conservative people refer to conservative people as tory bastards.

Somewhat ironically, that joke of mine is also bloody crap.

I thought Tial was using the word "conservatively" in its non-political sense though.

I meant conservative with a small 'c'. It's got nothing to do with politics, you can get conservative Labour supporters.

Or am I just completely missing the joke again? :D

Pretty much, but as I said it was crap anyway.

Well, it was presented by one of his students, but it was a method of demonstrating a mathematical model of third party behavioural influence via the medium of dance. Tim is an official genius even if Frank Skinner is too stupid to recognise it.
