Hah - yay me - I'm a high scorer!

Making me smile - I discovered a great little app called Wattpad which is essentially an online library. You can download 1000's of ebooks which you can read on the iphone, which is great because it means I can read in bed when Mrs zoot is asleep without having the lamp on!

I've got an App called simply "Classics" you only get a few books with it but other than paying 59p for the app they don't charge you. It's all books in public domain. Alice in Wonderland, Huck Finn, Frankenstein etc... You don't get many words to a page but i'd still recommend it.

Do you have to hold it? My arm would ache after a while and it would be awkward to turn the page.

See, I already OWN an iphone, I don't own 1000's upon 1000's of books, or a little book light, therefore I have no need to 'downgrade'...

Also, weren't you preaching about the wonder that is 'ebook readers' just a few months ago?

She was, but she can't do that with the iPhone because Waterstones don't sell it.

I do have an Ebook reader - it was a gift - but I can't bring myself to use it, I may ebay it.

Reading on a screen, I have decided, brings no pleasure to me. I prefer the feel of a book, the excitement of turning pages and no reliance on power sources.

I have the 100 Classics for my DS. I was sceptical about how I would get on reading on a screen, and a small screen at that, but it is actually brilliant. Much easier than proper books - although I will never stop buying and reading them.

Is that the thing you showed us ages ago as an example of something that I wouldn't be able to find cheaper somewhere other than Waterstones?

Then we established that noone else wanted to stock it?

iPhone wins.

You can Jailbreak it and use whatever network you like.

Oh and making me smile. The jingle in the Apprentice for pants man sounds like Celebrity Tarzan.

Yea but doesn't it cripple a load of it's features?

Not long ago I posted some astonishing photos of some things quite a long way away... quite a few light years away in fact. These are a little closer to home, but nonetheless just as amazing - albeit not always as beautiful and in one instance of something quite horrible - in my opinion.
