Let me know how it goes................. oh, and feel free to forward any video footage.

With the "decorated" cars in 'Hick town'.... yeah that was brilliant.

Yea - liked that as well - especially when it all went really tits up and the camera crew were getting chased!

It sorta changed from it being scripted problems to a real one!

The way they showed it, it seemed there was more chance of one of them dying on this trip that during Hammonds high-speed rocket car crash.

But yeah, Jeremy's road-kill cow find was ace too.

fantastic telly.

I reckon a lot of it was staged, but still really good.

Top gear is well known for being scripted and staged, but it doesn't really make it any less entertaining. I doubt the bit at the gas station in the hick town was staged as such, but with cars decked out like that they were kinda asking for trouble.

Big Stig was also funny, was it you Gaspode?

It was indeed a good episode, but I couldn't help but wonder about the authenticity of it all, do you think it really happened like that or were the local hicks asked to help make a good bit of telly?

I personally think the latter.

and people say I'm cynical...

Nah when Top Gear stages something, it's obvious that it's staged (like the camping trip complete with exploding caravan), but this didn't feel staged to me.

I think they are quite proud of the way that its not scripted. Did it not win an award in america for best unscripted show as well?

Sure some of the bits are, but i think most of it is spontanious (sp?).

The beauty of it is the PC-free zone that the show operates, I watched it last night and I was in stitches, makes Max and Paddy look like a day out at the tea convention.

Far too skinny he was.

The cow had echos of Alan Patridge "theres a cow on me" but it was one of th best hours of TV there will be this year.

For anyone interested, Moyles was discussing Top Gear this morning, and was wondering who The Stig is, well if you're there Mr Moyles, The Stig is actual person - Perry McCarthy, ex formula 1 driver (well he had one season I think).

Thus.

hmmm. He doesnt look like he passes diesel instead of urine. Or that, if he could be bothered, he could find Osama Bin Laden by smell alone. All I know is, surely thats not The Stig?
