Andy B wrote:I bet you love it in films where every button they press makes a "beep" sound or they do that thing of hacking into the pentagon database on the third password guess. Oh and that bit in Jurassic Park where the girl claims they're using a Unix system but it's clearly not.

That 3D file explorer in Jurassic Park was an actual application that could run on SGI's IRIX, which is a derivative of system V Unix; what's actually odd is that someone her age would have used an IRIX system enough to not only recognise the unique user interface, but also enough to find her way easily around a foreign system without any obvious guidance. In general though, yes, any films (or TV programs) that involve computers generally piss me off, the one exception being 'Takedown', despite it being mostly historically inaccurate.

No one has metioned the Wizard of OZ! That was always a Christmas film, when I was kid of course.(maybe I is just an old fart!) It used be on every Christmas without fail..and the witches feet when they curled up always scared the pants off me ! not to mention the flying monkeys ! well scary :D

Or Oliver! That was always on at Christmas too. And The Great Escape. But they aren't really Christmas movies for me.

I am feeling a need to watch Meet Me In St Louis. I will have to find it on DVD I think.

Nightmare was just re-released in 3D. Such a great movie.

I don't like it. Too contrived, too much agenda.

There are more Christmas movies i like, but the main three that come to mind are:

Die Hard (Great movie anytime of the year, but it's especially good at Christmas)

Scrooged (My favourite update of the Christmas Carol story)

Jingle All The Way (Yeah it's Arnold Schwarzenegger in one of his non action roles, but it's a fun feel good Christmas movie)
