Well pop pickers, just thought I would let you know that Friday's White Stripes gig at the Empress Ballroom in Blackpool was amazing....
Even though it was the usual tight performance from the duo. They actually thought about the actual venue itself.
Let me explain....
Most indoor gig venues have just one main stage, however the Empress Ballroom is slightly quirky in that it has two! The other being off to the side....
So picture the scene... After an hour or so the Stripes come forward, thank the crowd, take a bow and walk off the main stage.
Now everybody is giving the "more", "more" routine and you just know they are going to come back for an encore.
However after what seemed like an age, the curtains open on the second (smaller) stage..... and suddenly the mosh pit is not the place to be! Everyone was sold a bluff and it worked a treat... It might sound cheesy but seriously folks it was cool.
Nice.
