How does everyone intend to celebrate the beginning of 2006?

I'm going to a street party in the West End of Glasgow with my boyfriend and his friends. All my friends are going to Rome for the weekend. They found cheap flights for £40 so are seeing the new year in there. I decided to stay with my boyfriend in Glasgow.

I'm not sure yet, possibly going through to Edinburgh but there has been talk of a New Year works night out so I'll wait and see.

I don't know whether to have a drinking session. Its so expensive and I hate waiting for taxis at this time of yr!!! I was thinking of taking the car but then all the drunk people might just pee me off. Theres nothing worse than drunken chat when you are sober.

I'm apparently spending new years in Liverpool with some mates from Uni, they're all organising it, I'm just being told I have to taxi everyone over, such a pain being the only one of my mates who drives.

Bang on midnight i'll be at the White cliffs overlooking the harbour, wiv my long suffering boyfriend. At the stroke of midnight the ferries sound their foghorns and the fireworks are set off at the castle.

We'll then go home to crack open a bottle of bubbly to celebrate our 10th anniversary and proceed to get pissed.
