Well, I'm in!

It's been a really hectic weekend, but we survived and we're more or less moved in.
Those of you who don't know, Myself and Mrs Zoot moved into a beautiful converted barn this weekend. The only thing we're missing are the Sofa's, which arrive via Mr Argos Man on Wednesday morning. It'll be much better when they're in, its hard to relax in a new place without anything to sit on, and floors aren't too comfy - we spent Saturday Night eating a chinese takeaway on the floor in the middle of the lounge with a squashed cardboard box as a tablecloth listening to Morcheeba...

I will post pictures as soon as we're settled.
(not of us eating the chinese, that would be just silly...)

Ah nice one, I'm still going through the stressful moving process... I don't normally get stressed and to be fair I'm not getting too stressed normally but occasionally it gets the better of me.

My mate has put two mattresses in an 'L' shape for his sofa for the time being.

Funny story - I was taking a short cut down one of the lanes last night, and I had to stop because of sheep on the road. I was there for about 10 minutes. They surrounded me, the vicious buggers...

Very strange but while and since moving, I've actually been LESS stressed than usual.
I also have a sofa arriving monday hopefully, so can start having people round and stuff, wooo.

Update -

The sofa's arrived yesterday, and they're going back on Tuesday...
What a load of cheap crap!
They're awful, they look cheap. the base of the sofa is made of the same foam as the cushions, therefore when you sit down you are nearly sat on the floor. They are so small that I have to take the back cushions off just to get my arse firmly on it.

Very disapointed.

Yeah, Ikea is definitely worth a look, but not everyone has one near so it may be a day trip for ya.

We looked at Ikea, the really nice ones were mega-bucks, the cheaper one were shite we thought.
I think we're gonna expand our budget a bit more, may as well spend a bit extra and be happy with it rather than just make do...

Have you tried gumtree? If you're not bothered about buying brand new you can pretty much furnish a house on there.

i want to see zoot's barn!

ikea couches are a total ripoff. my parents bought me a couch when i was first diagnosed with cancer and i really liked and ikea couch, but re realised it would be crap to lay on for hours and hours. for about $100 more than the mid range ikea couch i got a really nice sofa bed. (if anybody comes to visit, it's really comfortable. i lived on it for three weeks post surgery.)

Hey Zoot

You may be sorted by now and I know I'm a bit far away but thought I'd let ya know. I have 2 leather recliners and a matching 2 seater sofa in storage. Bright yellow though! Not bad nick. Had them in a house we sold a couple of months ago. If you can get them you can have them. Must post a picky when I'm back in the office.
