Hey there! I am from Dublin Ohio in the good ole USA and I listen to the Chris Moyles show every morning. I first heard Razorlight's song America on here. While it is a catchy tune...what they are talking about? I did a Google search to see if others felt the same way and found this website. It seems I am not alone. Any thoughts??

Hi Lisa, it means America's infiltrated too much world culture and is annoying.

Do you work for OCLC? Are you a fan of Dublin Core? That's all I know about Dublin, OH.

It's about the UK's (and the world's) obsession with what's going on in America ('all my life watching America'), and the feeling of confusion and emptiness he experiences when touring over there (nothing being on TV, not understanding the movie script etc).
To top it all off, he seems to have a loved one back in the UK who he misses and wants with him (I need you tonight / To hold me, say you'll be here).

I think it's a really contrived song and I agree with that website. But then i've never been a Razorlight fan.
