Is anybody on Spotify?
There was a feature about it the other day on BBC news: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7913959.stm
It's basically a replica of iTunes - but instead of being confined to the music you have on your hard disc, you have access to almost all the released music that exists. From this big database you can make your own personal playlists, as well as share collective playlists which you can share via an HTML link.
You can download it here: http://www.spotify.com

And if anyone is interested, I thought we could test the programme and make a collective CM.net playlist of everyone's favourite songs. It might introduce a few people to a few things.
Here is the link to the playlist if you have downloaded Spotify: http://open.spotify.com/user/tial/playl ... KWOizgKowE

I have ducktales theme though. I collect random old TV themes. Still never heard of Doctor Snuggles though no matter how often Chris used to play it.

I'm going to move from Ducktales to Spotify:

That sounds good, I'll probably try it - but does anyone know how long the adverts they play to you? And does anyone know if it's actually any good?
At the moment I use Napster's music rental thing, which is expensive but a lot better than paying per song.

Every 20 minutes you get one advert which lasts about 20/30 seconds. It's really not atall intrusive, especially because it means you get to hear all the music for free

I really like it. It'll never replace the music collection you build over the years, but it's great for listening to stuff you'd never quite get round to buying/downloading.

Oh right. I'll probably stick with Napster then seeing as it doesn't cost any more per song, although I'm downloading it now to give it a go. I'll tell you what I think.

How much does Napster cost?

Am I right in saying that you can't do anything else with the music tho, like put it on your mp3 player? that sounds a bit pointless to me. I only have music on my PC in order to transfer it to my mp3 player.

You can't transfer it. I suppose it depends how you listen to music. I only ever listen to music on my computer (don't have an mp3 player), so it's perfect for me.

Ah, see, I'm the opposite. Very rarely listen to it on my PC. At home I still put on ye olde CDs!

£15 a month for as much music as you want. Expensive, I know, but you can use it on up to 3 computers and 3 mp3 players, so I just split the cost with three of my friends and pay just £5 a month. I think it works out okay.

I tried it out and it was okayish. As far as I can see you can't download songs, therefore you can't put them on an mp3 player - but I guess you can't complain that much if it's free. Also, seeing as it's all streaming there was occasional stuttering - but that was probably my awful Internet connection.

If Disney only ever did one thing right it was the Ducktales theme, a classic (up there with The Racoons Theme) :D

Raggy Dolls  that was a series, ah, so many memories, I wish I was back in the 80's again

Tailspin was basically Baloo & King Louie from The Jungle Book & I think Baloo owned his own Air Courier firm (Christ knows TBH, it was about 15 years ago since that was last on TV)

Haha - this used to be a regularly recurring theme, but it hasn't come up for ages. Personally, I don't think you can beat the likes of Tom and Jerry, Dangermouse or Looney Tunes.

Does anyone remember Greenclaws? One of my sister's friends reminded me the other day:

Nope doesn't ring a bell I'm afraid. Ah Dangermouse, lets not start the debate again from the pub quiz about what Penfold was! Although I did have a German teacher several years ago that looked just like him!

I was into the usual classics, Postman Pat and Thomas the Tank Engine, and Button Moon of course!
