Thought I'd change the dates on the Golden Hour Game :) I'll post the year on Monday so you can nominate some songs. Wednesday the nominations close and the poll starts, then the poll closes on...Saturday!

For those of you who haven't played before, you nominate a song from the chosen year, posting a youtube clip if you can. I'll then put the nominations into a poll, then we all vote for our favourite song!

This weeks year was chosen by Yudster, the year is 1972!

I was going with the obvious Don McLean choice, right up until the point where I realised this was an option...

(The typo in the artists name on the Youtube video is clearly not my fault.)

Edit: it's Chuck Berry - My Ding-a-Ling.

I had difficulty choosing this one, but like Topher I chose to avoid the obvious Don McLean choice, as well as a couple of others in favour of this;

Also, Topher - what is your's?

I choose the year and everyone gets in before me! No one nicked my song though, which is Baby Yudster's favourite air-guitar track (Zoot, you'd be so proud of him!) - obviously its Derek and the Dominos, not eric Clapton, but although this video is relatively recent I really like this version. Tha alternative wa to post the original recorded version with no video - and you all know the song anyway, so I thought we'd go with this!

Done.

Bonanzoid wrote:Also, Topher - what is your's?

I went for the novelty choice. I want you to play with my ding-a-ling.

Ooooh, interesting one from Catherine there! Elvis had had it by '72 though, look at him in that vid, all puffy-faced and slurry, eyes all unfocussed - he hardly knows where he is poor bloke. Compare him to before Tom Parker got hold of him and turned him into a circus act - god he was amazing then.
